No need to panic: Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence are still making a movie together, and it’s going to be worth the wait. Though the two badass ladies have been talking about making a film for quite some time (It’s been more like two years, but whatever), we can rest assured the film is on the horizon, thanks to a little update from our girl Amy.
J. Law said in 2015 that the two were almost done with the script, but Amy just gave us a better idea of the film’s timeline. “I hope we do it in the next year and a half,” the comedian told HelloGiggles. “It’s the kind of movie that we can film at any time. If we make it, it’s gonna be like the light at the end of the tunnel.” Well I sure hope so because after waiting this long, it better be damn good.
Just to refresh your memory, Amy and Jennifer will play sisters—Schumer is the one with her life in order, dreaming of a job as a flight attendant, and Lawrence is just “a mess.” Given the actresses’ past work, I definitely thought it would be the other way around, but either way, I know they’re going to crush it. I’ll probably leave the theater with stomach pains from laughing so hard.
Though I’m getting a little impatient, as long as I know the movie is still happening, I’ll be able to hold on a little longer.
