Amanda Bynes Is Back, & Says She Wants to Return to Acting

After having a rough past couple of years, Amanda Bynes may be returning to the limelight.

Bynes, who got her start on the Nickelodeon shows that we all know and love—like All That and The Amanda Show—has been out of the spotlight for the past few years after some bizarre and dangerous behavior that she attributes to drugs.

Bynes, 31, sat down with Diana Madison of Hollyscoop to discuss what she’s been doing lately, as well as her plans for the future.

“I hike, I go spinning…I feed the homeless,” she said of her day-to-day. She’s also been attending fashion school at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, and says she’d like to start a clothing line.

Of course, we’re all wondering whether Bynes is a planning on doing any acting—we grew up on What a Girl Wants and She’s the Man.

“I do miss acting and I actually have something surprising to tell you: I’m going to start acting again,” Bynes told Madison. “I want to do TV. Maybe a few guest spots on some shows that I’m a fan of and maybe another TV show where I’m the star of it.”

Bynes’ movies were definitely an integral part of my childhood, so it’s good to see her back.
