Adele turned 29 on Friday (HBD!), and never one to take herself too seriously, she tweeted a hilarious joke about nearly reaching her thirties.
The Grammy-winning songstress posted silly shots of her getting dressed up as an old lady, complete with a gray wig, faux wrinkles and cardigan – and we can barely recognize her in her makeover.

She captioned the photos, “Nearly 30! Thanks for the well wishes. See you soon x.” If these photos are any indication, she’s still going to look just as flawless at 89 as she does at 29.
While 29 isn’t actually that old and most of us only wish we could accomplish as much as Adele in our twenties (15 Grammys anyone?!) we get where she’s coming from. I mean, I have exactly zero percent of my life together and still felt crazy old and adult-ish when my friends turn 21, so there’s that.
