We all know those on-again off-again couples who just can’t seem to decide the status of their relationship once and for all. And even though we don’t technically know them (although we watch enough Keeping Up With the Kardashians to feel like we do), it’s clear that Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick fall under this category. That is, they did until the news broke last weekend that the parents of three were splitting up for good.
The news came following a series of incriminating photos showing Lord Disick cuddled up with his ex, Chloe Bartoli, in Monaco. In classic reality show fashion, viewers have been able to watch the ups and downs of Kardashian and Disick’s nine-year relationship. Despite hitting some rough patches in recent years, it seemed like the couple was finally in the clear. However upon closer inspection, it seems that there have been tell-tale signs for quite some time now.
While the pictures might have been the final straw, they definitely weren’t the first clue that the relationship was on the rocks. Let’s look at 9 red flags that, in retrospect, show us the couple was headed straight for Splitsville.
1. Kourtney was always saying that Scott wasn’t romantic enough.
2. Half of the time Scott was rude to Kourtney just for speaking her mind.
3. Scott always assumed everyone else was the problem and failed to see a reason why he should change.
4. He also frequently refused to take responsibility for his actions.
5. The couple broke up once before in 2010 while Kourtney was filming for Kourtney and Kim Take Miami because of Scott’s alcohol addiction.
6. The couple usually have no problem with publicly expressing their affection on Instagram, but neither have posted a picture of the other in a few weeks.
7. Kourtney has recently been spotted out and about either alone or with friends, but never with Scott.
8. Scott was wishy-washy when it came to being supportive of Kourtney before the birth of their third child, Reign Aston Disick.
9. And of course, there are the telling pictures of Scott, way too up close and personal with an ex-girlfriend.
Scott is “literally so rude” and we are glad that Kourtney has found the strength to move on.
