9 Times Jim & Pam Made You Go “Awwww”

This quarantine has us all binge-watching one TV show after another. As our eyes strain and our coffee mugs run empty, why not reminisce on the one show that always made us feel hope, and never failed to light up a rather boring day? Of course, I’m talking about The Office. Specifically, number one couple Jim & Pam. So refill your coffee or pour yourself a glass of wine and live through these classic Jim & Pam scenes with me.

Season 2, Episode 22 – Jim tells Pam he loves her.

Jim reveals his feelings for Pam, unable to hold it back anymore. She blows him off, but later he finds her speaking to her mom about him and the two share an intimate kiss. This is one of the most bittersweet moments in the show, as Jim transfers to the Stamford branch right after.

Season 3, Episode 23 – Pam confesses that she called her wedding off because of Jim.

After being the only one to participate in the coal walk, Pam decides to let her feelings loose. She tells Jim that she misses him and that she called her wedding off because of him. The two eventually hug it out, leading viewers to believe that they might finally end up together.

Season 3, Episode 24 – Jim finally asks Pam out.

After rejecting the job offer in New York, Jim rushes back to Scranton. He barges into the conference room and asks Pam to dinner. Her expression is priceless; Pam tears up as she smiles wide, and she even forgets the question the documentary crew asked her right before. Three seasons of back and forth lead to this moment where Pam and Jim finally get to have their first date!

Season 4, Episode 14 – Jim reveals he bought an engagement ring a week after they started dating.

Jim teases Pam about moving in with him but she confesses that she can’t live with someone unless she’s engaged. To this he jokingly replies, “Have I not proposed to you yet?” Later, he shows the documentary crew the engagement ring, saying he bought it just a week after they started dating. Viewers everywhere sighed in unison.

Season 5, Episode 2 – Jim proposes to Pam.

Jim proposes to Pam at an interstate gas station, a spot that’s in between Scranton and New York. He tells her he can’t wait any longer and the two share a passionate kiss in the rain, finally engaged!

Season 5, Episode 3 – Jim & Pam leave each other the same voicemail.

Jim and Pam keep missing each other’s phone calls and are constantly busy. They both feel out of sync with the constant strain of a long-distance relationship. At the end of the episode, they simultaneously leave each other an eerily similar voicemail. The sweet moment shows how in sync the couple actually is with each other.

Season 5, Episode 15 – Pam blames Jim for breaking her parents up.

This is a really rough time for Pam as her parents are on the brink of getting a divorce. Initially, she blames Jim for talking her father into it but she later realizes just how deeply Jim loves her, and how her father could never love her mother in the same way.

Season 6, Episode 5 – Their private wedding ceremony at Niagara Falls.

Amidst all the stress, Pam is scared her wedding’s falling apart. Jim takes her on a boat ride to Niagara Falls, where he has the captain officiate their marriage before the official ceremony. He reveals to the documentary crew that he bought the tickets months ago, saying the boat was “Plan C, the church was Plan B, and Plan A was marrying her a long long time ago.”

Season 9, Episode 22 – Jim presents Pam with a video montage of them falling in love.

Pam worries she’s not enough for Jim and that he wants more than their mundane life. Jim asks the docu crew for help and creates a video montage of him falling in love with her. He also gives her the note he took out of the teapot back in season 2 where he confesses his feelings for her. All in all, this is my favorite moment in the entire series, because we get to see just how far they’ve come as a couple. He also tells Pam to stop worrying and tells her that she’s “everything” for him. Don’t mind me while I grab a tissue.

If you didn’t believe in love before, these Jim & Pam moments will definitely have you reconsidering your choices.
