7 Reasons Why Suspending Meredith on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Was a Bad Idea

On Thursday night’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy, Dr. April Kepner started her first shift as interim chief of general. I was totally upset (why Shonda why?!?!) and shocked that Meredith got suspended for talking boldly to Dr. Minnick, the woman trying to change the entire program. Since Meredith has been at the hospital ever since she was an intern, it makes sense that she felt passionate about the program change and that she was upset with Minnick’s new rules. I think we all can agree that she definitely makes the best chief of general surgery, too.

Here’s why suspending Meredith was a bad idea.

1. Patients love her

Honestly, who doesn’t love Dr. Grey?

2. She knows the hospital like the back of her hand

She’s been there for years! Being chief of general requires knowledge about everything.

3. She is the most organized surgeon

You kind of have to be as chief of general.

4. She is honest and doesn’t hold back with people

A powerful woman with a strong voice. What could be better?

5. The program isn’t the same without her

Everyone is off their game. Bring Meredith back!

6. Everyone looks up to her

As a mentor and a colleague. Bc she’s THE boss.

7. It’s just a fact that nobody can do her job like she can

Her name is on the hospital. She’s amazing. Need I say more?
