4 Emotions We Didn’t Feel When JoJo Sent Alex Home

Last night’s episode of The Bachelorette was all about horses and heartbreak, and soooooo many cringe-worthy moments. Alex, or should we say Chad #2, was sent home rose-less, but did we really care? Mmmm, nope, not that much. Here are four emotions we definitely didn’t feel when Alex was rejected.

1. Surprise

Let’s be real, we knew this was coming. As soon as he got in that car with JoJo on a long drive to the middle of nowhere, it was the end of the line. She rejected the duck lip kiss and cried out “UUUGGGGHHHHH” halfway through the car ride, which is a pretty strong indicator that she was not into the date. The only time JoJo felt excited was while watching the magic horse man. Clearly Alex in his weird little gaucho outfit failed to deliver.

2. Pity

Alex was essentially the Regina George of this season, so we were really glad to see this snake get what he deserved. While we totally get sabotaging Chad by gossiping about him to JoJo, Alex has since picked some weird enemies (usually the guys we love). Undermining your bros is not cool, especially when they’re total sweethearts. You deserve to be sent home, Alex, if for this reason alone.

3. Comfort

This episode held some major second-hand embarrassment (remember when James looked like he was going to pass out from putting too many french fries in his mouth?). To watch Alex basically tell JoJo that he just had the best day of his life and that he’s in love with her was cringe-worthy, especially since JoJo flat out rejected his feelings. Also his one-on-one was mainly JoJo cuddling with a horse instead of him. This date was a trainwreck to watch, but strangely, we couldn’t look away. The anger radiating off his tiny little body was just too much.

4. Sadness

We were really not sad to see Alex go. He’s pretty, but we’re surprised he made it this far. We’re looking forward to next week’s drama-free (okay, Alex drama-free) episode so that the guys we really care about (aka Luke) get more air time. Bye, boy!
