19 On-Screen BFFs Who Are Friends in Real Life

We all know of a show with characters who are totally define #friendshipgoals. While sometimes our favorite television besties are played by actors who are just very good at their jobs, there are other dynamic duos who are actually loving every second on set together. Check out these celebs who are still the BFFs we know and love even when the cameras stop rolling.

1. Leighton Meester and Zuzanna Szadkowski

Anyone who has ever watched Gossip Girl knows that Dorota and Blair had the absolute cutest relationship. Whether it was dealing with S drama or Mr. Chuck, Dorota always had Blair’s back. Even Meester’s husband, Adam Brody, will attest to the fact that the two absolutely adore each other.

2. Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell

The whole Pretty Little Liars squad seems to be super close and supportive of each other, but no one is closer than Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell are; they even love to refer to themselves as #ButtahBenzo. With a selfie game as strong as theirs, we guess they do need their own hashtag.

3. Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale

Even though it’s kind of a stretch to say that they were the best of friends on-screen (we all know that Sharpay totally had a soft spot for Gabriella, though), their off-screen friendship is undeniable. Vanessa was even a bridesmaid at her bestie’s wedding!

4. Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford

These “gossip guys” played best friends Chuck and Nate for six seasons on Gossip Girl. Before they hit it big, they shared an apartment in New York for years.

5. Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox

We all wish that our roommate situation could be as fabulous as Rachel and Monica’s is. The BFFs have been through thick and thin and they are still going strong over 20 years later. Jen is even the godmother of Courteney’s daughter, Coco.

6. Zach Braff and Donald Faison

D.J. and Tuck’s bromance on Scrubs comes second only to the real life bromance between to these two actors. The best friends cannot get enough of each other and it’s the cutest thing ever!

7. Brad Pitt and George Clooney

Pitt and Clooney met on set of the 2001 flick Ocean’s 11 and have been engaged in the most epic prank wars ever since.

8. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler

These comedic ladies met at an improv class in Chicago in 1993. They would go on to work together on Saturday Night Live and star together in popular movies such as Baby Mama and Mean Girls.

9. Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet

We guess Leo got over the fact that Kate wouldn’t move over (we all know there was totally room for the both of them). Over the years this friendship has seemed to go and on and we couldn’t be any happier.

10. Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs

These two broke girls are two best friends in real life (and definitely not broke)!

11. Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore

The Charlie’s Angels starlets began their friendship years earlier when they were just two unknown, struggling actresses. Throughout the years, they have publicly defended each other and gushed about their long-lasting friendship.

12. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon

This classic Hollywood friendship began when they were two kids who lived a few houses down from each other in Boston. In 1997, the buds teamed up to write the Oscar-winning film, Good Will Hunting.

13. Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez

These two have been friends since their early days on Barney, but have hit some rough patches over the years. Selena once explained their friendship by saying, “I grew up with Demi, I’ve known her since I was seven… we’ve had our distance and we’ve had our moments, but she’s one person that I will always love and she’ll always have a place in my heart.” Aww!

14. Zendaya and Bella Thorne

These Disney darlings met on the set of Shake It Up where they played BFFs Rocky and Cece, and even after the show ended, they stayed close and very supportive of each other.

15. Candace Cameron and Andrea Barber

These two made every ’90s girl wish that her BFF lived right next door. With a Full House spin-off set to air in 2016, their on-screen friendship is sure to pick up right where it left off, even though their off-screen friendship never ended.

16. Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake

Fallon and Timberlake became fast friends after appearing in their first Saturday Night Live sketch together in 2003. Fallon attended Timberlake’s wedding and Timberlake wrote Fallon’s essay for his spot on Time Magazine’s Most Influential People list.

17. Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak

Novak and Kaling met while they were both writers and cast members on The Office. They are the perfect example of staying friends with your ex because although the two dated on and off for years, their friendship has survived (to our benefit… their tweets to one another are hilarious)!

18. James Franco and Seth Rogen

While most recently the two pals starred in The Interview, they actually met on the set of Freaks & Geeks in 1999 and have remained close friends ever since.

19. Ariana Grande and Matt Bennett

Even though Ariana and Victoria Justice did not get along on the Victorious set, Grande found a best friend in cast member, Matt Bennett. Judging by their numerous videos on her Instagram account, they get up to some pretty wacky antics at the Grande house. He was also featured in her latest music video for her single “One Last Time.”

We just can’t handle all of the BFF perfection!

She realizes that her last name is Trusty and does that make her trusty? Yes, yes it does. She cares way more about the goings on of Kylie Jenner, One Direction, and the rest of the celebrity population way more than the average person should. So as opposed to becoming a professional paparazzo, she does this while she studies Broadcast Journalism at the University of South Carolina. You can find her on Instagram @briballerina or @verytrustysource.
