4 Lazy-Girl Hair Ideas for Valentine’s Day If You Want a No-Nonsense Look

Real question: Does anyone really have time to do their hair for Valentine’s Day anymore? In between classes, scrolling on Twitter, laying in bed, and eating snacks, I’m def not spending more than five minutes on anything. If you’re just hanging with your roommates, or if you and your SO have decided to play it cool for February 14, there’s no reason to style your hair for an hour just to stay in.

So, if you’re in the lazy-girl club and want quick, no-nonsense hair ideas for Valentine’s Day, I’re here with the inspo. Here are some styles, products, tips and tricks that’ll make the day’s style feel a little special, without needing a ton of effort on your part.

1. Classic waves

These loose, understated waves are the easiest to do. All you need is a curling wand or flat iron to create the wave, then use some hairspray to set the look and you’re good to go.

2. Sleek side part

Looking for something extra to do in a pinch? Grab your nearest flat iron, brush out those knots, and tame those wild flyaways at the root for an extremely sleek look. Worried about friz? Use one pump of serum through the ends of your hair, to keep it healthy and shiny throughout your Valentine’s Day plans.

3. Curly bangs

Some of us have wild curls that are too hot to handle, and I’m here for it. So what’s the cutest, fastest way to make your curls stand out? Just let your bangs go natural for the day.

4. Low ponytail

Want to wear a low ponytail without looking like a founding father? Here’s what you do: Flat iron your ends, slick your hair into a middle part, place your ponytail so it falls directly down the center of your neck, loosen the pieces around the sides of your face, and DONE.

…and don’t forget to accessorize!

If you’re totally stuck on what to do with your hair, the final resort can be trying a captain’s hat (v in style right now), headband, barrette, or scarf to cover it up and add texture to your look. You don’t have to break the bank on accessories either, just hit up stores to find the perfectly priced piece to match your Valentine’s Date outfit.

Don’t let your hair take up too much of your Valentine’s Day, and instead, tame it with these minimum-effort looks so you can spend time doing what you really want.
