This Makeup Artist Got Her $4,000 Beauty Kit Taken by Accident on a Train & I’m Weeping for Her

Public transportation can hold a lot of surprises for people who are commuting. You never know what you’re going to experience on the bus, train or subway. For example, Allure reports that on April 19 on a U.K. train ride, educator Lauren Costello accidentally took a bag belonging to makeup artist Nicola Gordon-Jones full of makeup, brushes and a DSLR camera!

Luckily, there are still good people in this world, and Costello is one of them. She returned the bag to the lost and found and took to Facebook to try to connect the makeup artist back to her bag. In her post, she asks that everyone share it in order to tell Gordon-Jones where to find her lost items.

That’s not all though. When Gordon-Jones figured out her bag was missing, she quickly emailed her bridal makeup course instructor, Kristina Gasperas, because that’s where she had just been before her fateful train ride. This is where things get amazing. Gasperas Facebook messaged her team asking them to help put together some products to replace the lost ones. But then someone in the message group had seen Costello’s original post and knew where the lost bag was!

Costello and Gordon-Jones got in contact and she was able to reclaim her bag with everything in it. Gordon-Jones was so touched by this all that she took to Facebook to share how grateful she was.

This is so sweet. We should all look out for each other like this!
