Colored mascara is the latest look from the runway that has transcended to the streets. Since the Donna Karan Spring 2013 show featured some poppy pink lashes, colored mascara tubes have popped up on beauty counter shelves. This trend is perfect for adding a little bit of color to your summer look and is now available in hues that will not remind you of the distant 80’s.

For a delightful pop of pink, such as the hue spotted in the Donna Karan Spring 2013 show, try Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Hypercolor Brow Gel and Mascara. Chanel released a line inspired by the colors of butterfly wings, which includes minty green, shades of light blue, and bright yellow. For a less bold move, start with darker shades of mascara such as deep purples, blues, and reds. For a deep red try Cover Girl’s mascara in deep ruby. Yves Saint Laurent has a great shade of jade green, and Givenchy has a lovely shade of dark purple
