7 Hairspiration Pics for When You’re Considering Lilac Hair

Lilac is definitely the hue of the moment, with over 200,000 posts on Instagram showing individuals rocking various shades of purple hair from lavender to lilac to violet. Some of the biggest stars have tried out the lilac hair trend, including Cardi B who showed off her multi-tonal lilac pixie-cut wig ahead of her Pepsi commercial debut during the 2019 Super Bowl. And with Kylie Jenner sporting a lilac ‘do at the 2019 Met Gala on May 6th, lilac hair is obviously not going anywhere. Here are seven hairspiration pics that will make you want to run to the hair salon.

Just because the trend is all about lilac, doesn’t mean you have to strictly stick to the lilac color. Adding just a touch of gray to the shade can make for a more dramatic, but stylish, purple hairstyle.

Kylie Jenner totally rocked the lilac hair trend at the 2019 Met Gala, and we were loving it. Kylie showed us that going for solid lilac hair is sure to make everyone envious of your hair.

This hairstyle is great for brunettes that are wanting to try out the lilac trend. Starting with your natural color at the roots, add lighter shades of purple as you get toward the ends, and it’ll give your hair a beautiful purple ombré look.

Prior to the debut of her Pepsi Superbowl ad, Cardi B wowed us with her ash-lilac pixie that was accented with neon pink and blue streaks. The neon colors mixed in with the lilac definitely make this a fun summer look.

Purple

Getting in on the lilac hair trend doesn’t mean that you have to go completely purple. If you have lighter or blonde hair, try adding just a touch of lavender to make your hairdo subtle yet stylish.

If you’re all about going bold or going home, then this look is for you. Start with a lilac shade at the roots and add bolder, more vibrant shades of purple toward the ends.

Ruby Rose’s “Rubicorn” hair, courtesy of celebrity stylist Riawna Capri, features a lilac base with strands of cotton-candy pink and pastel blue mixed in, giving it a truly magical look. This unicorn hair is so good, it’s definitely worth copying, especially if you want a little extra color mixed in with your lilac hair.

Hopefully, these lilac hairstyles will give you a little hairspiration if you’re wanting to try out the lilac hair trend.
