What a Psychic Reading Told Me About My Career Path

This is a sponsored feature. All opinions are 100% from Her Campus.

You know you have an awesome internship when it comes with a free psychic reading. When my boss mentioned that she would need an intern to have a genuine medium predict her career future, I was the first to volunteer.

I mean, I love the supernatural. I got my palm read at the beach one time when I was a kid, and I was told that I would have three kids and leg problems (so far, neither has panned out, but there’s plenty of time for that). I’m pretty sure there was a ghost haunting my childhood home, and I tried to make friends with it. I’ve just always been drawn to unexplainable phenomena.

Yet while waiting for my psychic, Mari from Hollywood Psychics, to pick up the phone, I found myself nervous. What if I didn’t like what she told me? What if she thought I was destined to be an accountant or something? Would I have to take more math classes? I thought I’d left that behind in high school! Or worse, what if she saw me homeless on the street in 10 years? I promised myself I would take her advice with a dose of healthy skepticism.

In the beginning, she asked if I had any specific questions. Not knowing what my ultimate career goals even are, I asked her to just give me any information she could. She told me I’d seen a lot of things thus far, almost as though the universe were giving me a tour of my options, so I could figure out what it was I wanted – and more importantly, what I didn’t want. Now that I’d had this tour, I was going to be faced with some career choices soon. She reassured me that I wouldn’t end up destitute, especially if I followed my unusually strong intuition. She also mentioned a fire sign male who would become a great career partner.

After quickly checking most of my guy friends’ birthdays, I reflected on Mari’s advice. On one hand, I felt like she was right about me. I do consider myself to be unusually intuitive! I do pick up easily on other people’s emotions! I have seen a lot of potential career options in the last 21 years, some being more appealing to me than others.

So was it worth it? I’d say so, because I choose to believe. My intuition tells me there’s something worth paying attention to in Mari’s reading. There must be some supernatural method to this madness. After all, everything happens for a reason.

If you’re interested in talking to a psychic yourself, you should know that Hollywood Psychics offers psychic readings by phone or via psychic online chat. New members even get the first three minutes of their reading free! You can ask specific questions, get a tarot reading, or even have your dreams interpreted, all by a rigorously screened medium. You pay by the minute, and there are no hidden costs. If you’re looking for a window into your future and you’re willing to put skepticism aside and trust your intuition, Hollywood Psychics might be for you.
