An Unfortunate Resemblance
Every so often, someone will tell me “Oh my God, you look JUST like [insert name here]!” I’ve been told I look like Sarah Bareilles, Lea Michele and, to my horror, Cher. In most cases (especially with Cher), I don’t see it.
But this winter, I found my twin. She’s not a smart, talented actress, singer or even politician. No, the girl who looks just like me is an 18-year-old unwed mother who frequently abandons her infant daughter to go partying. Oh yeah, and rumor has it she’s dating Pauly D.
Yes, I’m a dead ringer for Farrah Abraham, star of MTV’s reality TV show “Teen Mom.” It’s like watching a skinnier, trashier version of myself from a past life. Just take a look:

Farrah Abraham
This week was Facebook’s unofficial “Doppelganger Week,” in which users were instructed to replace their profile pictures with their celebrity lookalikes. When I changed my profile picture to one of Farrah and her daughter Sophia, several of my friends even told me that they thought I’d had a baby for second, before realizing that the girl in the photo wasn’t really me.
Doppelganger week may be over (although it’s Facebook, so who knows for sure?), but if you’re looking for a good laugh, try out MyHeritage.com’s celebrity match tool, and maybe you’ll have better luck than me!

About Rachel Cieri
Biography
Rachel Cieri is a senior journalism major at Elon University in North Carolina and a native of central Maryland. She has never taken a business class in her life, but she has worked in Economic Development and written for multiple business publications, including Baltimore and Washington, D.C.’s SmartCEO magazine. At college, she was the 2009 Features Editor for The Pendulum, Elon’s student newspaper, and she has held various editor positions at Phi Psi Cli, the campus yearbook. When she’s not seeking out ridiculous stories like ostrich farms or scooter brigades, Rachel can be found performing with the Fire of the Carolinas Color Guard, hanging out with her Alpha Omicron Pi sorority sisters, driving her tank of a car or checking off crazy adventures on her college bucket list.
