Rihanna for Puma: Athletic Wear is About to Get Really Chic

As if 2014 wasn’t already a massive year fashion-wise for Rihanna, who was named the CFDA’s Fashion Icon back in June (not to mention the head-to-toe Swarovski crystal dress she wore to the awards), it turns out RiRi will be adding one more major item to her fashion resume: Creative Director of Puma.

When describing the direction she wants to take Puma in, Rihanna says she plans to take over—in other words, “give it a youthfulness, make it hip, basically make it Rihanna.” Rihanna-ified athletic wear, shoes and accessories? We’re loving the sound of it. While we all wait anxiously for Rihanna’s first Puma pieces to be available, check out what we’re hoping to see included in the line:

1. Winter whites

We’re really hoping this monochrome white look Rihanna posted to her Instagram when the big news was announced shows up somewhere in her work with Puma. Athletic and comfy on bottom and super-luxe pearls and fur on top? Yes please!

2. Sporty spice

With the athletic wear trend going so strong, we’d love to see RiRi put out a sporty Puma jacket or two. We’re loving the way she dressed it up here with a flirty skirt!

3. All in one

Normcore was everything this year—and Rihanna’s fab overalls-and sweatshirt-combo is proof. We’d love to see her bring this same casual-chic (yet still glamorous!) vibe to the line.

4. A hint of sparkle

Okay, so we can’t exactly see Rihanna’s line for Puma including a sparkly red carpet ready gown, but Rihanna has always been known for her edgy, standout looks that push the boundaries, like the look she wore to the CFDA awards in June—and we can’t wait to see her bring that cool-girl attitude to the brand.

How excited are you to see Rihanna take the helm at Puma? What are you looking forward to seeing her create?
