Five Fashionable Items A Collegiette Dreams Of

As a college girl on a budget, my closet currently consists of finds from Goodwill, Forever21 and Target. I fantasize about the day when I’m a successful career woman with an endless cash flow who will be able to shop for, and purchase, anything my little heart desires. Well, a girl can dream right?

I know I’m not alone in making this list. Every woman, young or old, has that handful of pricey, unattainable items that they dream of owning. So if I could purchase 5 of those items right now, they would be…

1. Marc Jacobs Classic Q Natasha Handbag – $348

I’ve been infatuated with Marc Jacobs bags for years, and when I spotted this one at the Marc by Marc Jacobs store on Newbury Street in Boston last weekend, I simply fell in love. The shape. The color. The brass hardware. The long shoulder strap. The pattern on the inside.  I’m obsessed with it all.

2. Burberry Gabardine Trench Coat – $1,195

This trench is both practical and classy. I love the honey coloring and the Burberry print underneath the collar – it makes a statement without screaming “I’m wearing a $1,200 coat!”

3. Armani Wool Crepe Sheath Dress – $975

Simple yet incredibly elegant, this Bordeaux dress is part of the Fall 2011 collection from Armani and is certainly a classic “little red dress” I’d love to have hanging in my closet.

4. Tiffany Arc Lock Pendant – $2,500

I can’t help it. I’m simply obsessed with Tiffany’s. Their customer service, the quality of their items, and the classic look of their collections have brought me back time and time again. This gold lock pendant is by far the priciest item on my list, but I dream of wearing it with my silver Fleur de lis key pendant.

5. Dior Peep Toe Pump – $770

These beautiful patent leather stitched pumps almost remind me of something Barbie would wear. Slightly impractical? Maybe, but there’s no denying these babies are absolutely gorgeous.

So now that I’ve shown you my list, it’s your turn. What 5 items would you buy if you had all the money in the world? [Cue Gwen Stefani’s “Rich Girl” now…]
