Don’t "Sweat" It: Effortless Library Chic

Wednesday, December 7, 2011

Getting up for that 8:30 am lecture each day is hard enough as it is — so getting dressed for it isn’t always the easiest feat. And now with half the semester gone, our desire to be the chicest collegiette™ on campus has waned, too. So what’s a girl to wear when we spend our days in class and our nights in the library? Here are five easy looks that are super cute and — dare we say it? — even more comfortable than your sweats!

High Fashion
Fashion knows not of discomfort in this look. Harem pants might not get you the guys but are roomier than your college sweatpants — and more fashionable too. Throw on a loose-fitting, tulip-back (or open-back) shirt that makes a statement but is still casual. A pair of suede slip-on shoes completes the look and best of all, you don’t even have to worry about color coordination when you stick with the basics: black, white and neutral.

That's an entertaining read. I like your writing style. It makes your hub extremely interesting and exciting to read. I appreciate your praise of French women who of course have a many admirers over here in Europe. frases para orkut

I like all these ideas! I really love my silk black elastic waist pants, my long flowy black skirt and wide leg black pants (from Target-I think they're supposed to be for yoga). I also really like layering a dress over tights and a comfy shirt. Loose dresses in comfortable materials are my favorite-especially the black one I bought in Target from the sleepwear section. People sometimes comment on it and are totally surprised when I say I got it for less than $20 in the pj section heheh! I wear a navy, white or bright colored shirt under it and sometimes patterned or black tights under it. It goes great with a cardigan too or belted. If I really want to make it look special, I add a scarf or accessories.

I also grabbed a pair of moccasins this season, but I'm loving the shoes you chose.

Thanks for the additional ideas! I love to stay comfy/chic, as you can tell.

What about accessories? I like to wear items that are unique but understated. Is anyone familiar with falling whistles, or similar accessories that try to bring awareness to needed causes around the world? Combining a keen fashion sense with a greater purpose gives me confidence. Not only in my look, but in sharing with others any messages that derives from it.
