College Fashion Week 2014 Ends With a Bang in San Francisco

This is a sponsored feature. All opinions are 100% from Her Campus.

After College Fashion Week Chicago, our cross-country fashion week headed to the last (but certainly not least) stop on the tour: San Francisco! The west coast greeted the HC team with warmer weather and tons of energy! Thanks to the tons of attendees who came out to the trendy venue, Origin Boutique Nightclub, the west coast proved to be the perfect place to conclude College Fashion Week 2014. Here’s a rundown of the spectacular night!

The place was packed! Everyone flooded in and got ready for fabulous fun; attendees got their hair done by TRESemmé (the official hair care sponsor of College Fashion Week), got a mini make-under by bareMinerals (the official beauty sponsor) and checked out the season’s hottest pieces, provided by boohoo.com (the official style sponsor).

Once again, Tyler Laswell, the mega-talented editorial hairstylist for TRESemmé, created chic yet doable hairstyles for our amazing models. Here, he’s working on the Imperial Half-Up Knotted Loop, which is one of those effortless hairstyles that you can rock anywhere without looking too boring or too busy. This simple hairstyle is seriously so easy to do that it can become your go-to daily look! Here are the steps to achieve this casual perfection:

1. Mist damp hair with TRESemmé Platinum Strength Heat Protection Spray to shield hair from heat damage.

2. Apply TRESemmé Climate Protection Mousse throughout lengths and use a medium round brush to create a soft, natural blow-out.

3. Run a small amount of TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Smoothing Crème Serum through the mid-shaft to ends to control frizz and leave hair salon-smooth.

4. Loosely gather the top section of hair, leaving wispy pieces around the face. Split the gathered section into two and tie in a knot and repeat, forming a double knot.

5. Once the knot is in place, tightly secure it to the head using bobby pins.

Primping took place left and right (literally)! bareMinerals provided the fabulous makeup for the night, and even helped match the right shade of foundation for many of the attendees! All attendees were invited to take home a full-sized bareMinerals Original foundation and brush for all their at-home primping needs.

boohoo.com was the brains behind all of the show’s hottest clothing for the upcoming season. They even created a fashion closet where attendees got to browse and add to their shopping wishlist. We knew that boohoo.com was one of the U.K.’s best-kept style secrets, so we had a feeling our collegiettes would love the looks. With tees like these (“Always dress as if you’re going to see your ex”) and on-trend statement pieces, we’re not surprised they’re taking the U.S. by storm!

While the models got ready backstage, attendees had the chance to strike a pose and get goofy in the popular Bosco GIF booth, provided by Premium Outlets. Check out all the GIFs from the night here!

It isn’t a true fashion show without a pile of sky-high, jaw-dropping heels that are waiting to be worn by some very lucky models! Those pointy-toed suede pumps are seriously killer. We’re experiencing a serious case of #stylecrave!

This model couldn’t be any more on point with the fall-inspired outfit! The whole boohoo.com look – the chunky cable-knit sweater, the wrap skirt and slouchy boots – makes our fashionista hearts proud!

This model sure knows how to own it! It’s all about the attitude. But also, can we focus for a minute on how well that plush jacket complements those distressed boyfriend jeans? Perfection.

Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened! That’s our outlook, especially when it comes to as awesome a series of events as College Fashion Week. With new cities and new faces, College Fashion Week 2014 was a whirlwind beyond our wildest dreams. As we look back on the great times we had in Boston, New York City and Chicago, we can’t help but think about how big and fab next year’s tour will be. See you at College Fashion Week 2015, collegiettes!
