The Top 10 Looks from the Cannes Film Festival

At HC, we just may love the red carpet at Festival de Cannes even more than at the Oscars, Grammys, or Met Ball. Why? Because at Cannes, the red carpet lasts 12 days! That’s 12 times more beautiful gowns and tuxes to “ooh” and “ahh” over – and 12 times more options in choosing the 10 “best dressed” looks. Get ready to drool over some of the most beautiful get ups of 2014.

1. Blake Lively

After taking an extended break from the red carpet, Blake Lively wowed us at the Met Ball – and then continued her streak at Cannes. At the opening ceremony, she wore a gorgeous crimson Gucci gown, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, and her trademark perfect complexion.

2. Blake, Again

After what felt like a millisecond later (though, in truth, it was over 24 hours), Lively appeared in another beautifully constructed black and white Gucci gown. Her best accessory? Definitely her handsome husband, Ryan Reynolds.

3. Karlie Kloss

The model wore a lovely blue Chanel dress to the amfAR gala, paired with cropped locks and glowing skin. Magnifique.

4. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

At this point, we’re pretty sure that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is a reincarnation of a Greek goddess. Every outfit she turned up in at Cannes was stellar, such as this Cushnie et Ochs gown, which left us swooning.

5. Rosie, Again

In Gucci Première, Rosie looked absolutely beautiful. The intricate construction of the dress paired with her flawless skin and just the right amount of bling made her look like a true superstar.

6. Jessica Chastain

She may not be starring in season two of True Detective, as was falsely reported earlier this week, but Jessica Chastain was worthy of envy on the Cannes red carpet. Our favorite looks include an Alexander McQueen mini and a black Givenchy gown.

7. Cara Delevingne

The model wore a collection of beautiful pieces at this year’s festival, such as this sparkly Chanel Haute Couture mini. We love the simplicity of the accessories she chose, as well as her flowing locks and perfect makeup.

8. Marion Cotillard

In her home country of France, the actress looked merveilleuse in Christian Dior not once, but twice over the course of the festival. Which is your favorite look?

9. Suki Waterhouse

Suki Waterhouse chose some fantastic gowns this week, like this gorgeous tiered Christain Dior gown. The model perfected her pose, looking simultaneously timeless and modern.

10. Amber Heard

Johnny Depp’s wife-to-be rounds out our top 10 list, wearing a Vionnet dress that we honestly thought looked like separates. No matter how her ensemble was constructed, however, we can’t deny her star power. Isn’t she beautiful?

The Festival de Cannes is ending soon, but we have enough material to keep on dreaming about until next year. Maybe we’ll get to go? Hint, hint at whoever sends out invitations!
