Coffee to Cocktails: A Workwear Styling Event

We all know the importance of dressing to impress on the job, but many struggle to strike a balance between being stylish and work appropriate.  This Wednesday July 31st, the Bauble Bar in Soho hosted a Coffee to Cocktails styling event, featuring the products of three new companies: Dagne Dover, M.M. LaFleur, and Milk and Honey Shoes.  While we give you the scoop on these awesome startups, we picked our favorite pieces, pairing them together to create the perfect look for the modern professional to go straight from Coffee to Cocktails.

Melissa, one of the three Dagne Dover founders describes their T.I. Tote to be “revamped for the modern woman.”  Marrying the concept of style and organization, this gorgeous tote comes in several color varieties, and features top zip closure, and internal compartments for a 15” laptop, an iPad, tablet and notebook, as well as separate pockets for a wallet, water bottle, umbrella, cellphone, and ID or travel card.

Sarah, the founder and CEO of M.M. LaFleur, explained that having worked in management consulting and private equity, she found few fashionable clothing options for female professionals. For this reason M.M. LaFleur was developed to “satisfy the business woman’s style and still be elegant.” This versatile silk and stretch wool blouse and skirt combo dress works for the day or night, and comes in three color variations.

With a wide array of fun and feminine footwear, Milk and Honey Shoes uniquely features online customization so that you can easily create the perfect shoe for your style needs.  These Emerald snakeskin pumps add the perfect pop of rich color to this ensemble.

This chunky graphic Bauble Bar necklace makes a statement, and with its subtle addition of emerald color, ties the look together.
