The 6 Pairs of Shoes You Need for Festival Season

With the weather getting warmer day by day, we know that summer is (almost) right around the corner. And with summer comes festival season! Lollapalooza, Burning Man amd Coachella are just some of the major festivals that are coming up in just a few months, if not in a few weeks. So, how do you dress for some of the biggest parties of the year? With some amazingly cute (and comfy) shoes! After all, the festival scene is becoming a major fashion event, with everyone from actors to models attending. To look your best, we’ve rounded up some shoes you can dance your days and nights away in while looking extremely stylish.

1. Rocker-chic boots

Sam Edelman Louie Fringe Ankle Boot, Urban Outfitters, $130

Fringe is a major trend this season, and we don’t think it’s going away anytime soon. Show off your stylish rocker side with a pair of these nude Sam Edelman booties. The best part about them is the stacked heel, meaning they’ll be crazy comfortable all day long. Pair it with high waisted shorts or jeans and you’ll have legs that go on for miles.

2. Wellies

Women’s Original Short Fringe Wellington Boots, Hunter, $185

If you’re lucky enough to be going to Glastonbury in England, then you’re going to need a stylish pair of rainboots to withstand the rain and mud. These edgy Hunter boots should do just the trick for you. With the tucked-in fringe, these boots will give any of your outfits a polished-yet-rugged look. But if black is too intense for you, no worries—they also come in blue and green.

3. Basic wrap sandals

Oliviera Wrap Sandals, Free People, $68

If you’re more of a sandals type of gal, we’ve got you covered too. Cute gladiator wrap sandals like these ones from Free People will give your outfit that bohemian look that music festivals are known for. The tight leather straps will keep your shoes in place no matter how hard you dance all weekend… or week long.

4. Graphic flats

 Eye Can’t Leni Espadrille Flats, Macy’s, $55

With all the bright colors you’ll find at music festivals, it only makes sense to wear a pair of bold shoes. These Circus by Sam Edelman flats seem to do the trick. The cheeky graphic will grab everybody’s attention and allow you to walk for hours without killing your feet. Plus, what else screams summer louder than a pair of espadrilles?

5. Chunky sandals

ASOS ELANA T Bar Cut Out Chunky Ankle Boots, ASOS, $68

Didn’t get to the venue early enough for front row seats? This is when heels come in handy. While heels may not seem very ideal for a music festival, platform sandals like these are perfect. The platform front allows for a lower arch and ultimate comfort, while the height of the platform allows you to get a better look at your favorite artists. We’re also loving this baby blue color that’s perfect for the upcoming warmer seasons.

6. Athletic

Reebok Classic Leather + Suede Sneaker, Urban Outfitters, $65

Value comfort over style? Don’t sweat it with these adorable and bright Reeboks. If you’re going for a more athletic look, try wearing a pair of slightly platformed running shoes with a fun color or pattern, like the ones above. Style these with a basic baseball cap and leather jacket and you’ll be ready for whatever this festival season hits you with.

So collegiettes, what will you be wearing this festival season?
