Alex and Ani Bangles That Support Our Favorite Causes

The gold and silver Alex and Ani charm bracelets first caught my eye when I saw everyone excitedly displaying their new charmed bangles. Even more interesting were the stories that the bangles allowed everyone to express. Gifted and unique, you have the power to shine, and the collection of charms from Alex and Ani’s allows you to do this. Acknowledge your calling and become exactly who you were created to be. Show off your school spirit or wear your sorority letters on your wrist. They’ve got pretty much everything covered.

It sounds perfect: a way to hand pick your jewelry to express the most cherished aspects of your life. But it goes beyond you. With the purchase of certain charms, Alex and Ani donates a portion of the sales to specific causes. Pick out the Born to Be Something Charm and 20 percent of the sales will go to KIPP, the national network of free public charter schools that prepares students in underserved communities for success in college and in life.

Equipped with the knowledge that the world is what you make of it, a tree hugger moves forward in life consciously, always aware of the importance of an environment. So if organic energy is more up your alley, 20 percent of the sales for the Tree Hugger Charm go directly to the African Rainforest Conservancy, which works to restore African rainforest, reminding us that we should always be aware of the importance of the environment.

And since we could all use a reminder about the importance of celebrating life’s little moments, the Cupcake Charm (which is actually in the shape of a cupcake!), allows us to remember that we should embrace an optimistic outlook on life and celebrate the joys of all things decadent. Providing a donation that goes directly to the Nancy Davis Foundation, you can be a part of fight against Multiple Sclerosis and help the foundation find a treatment, and eventually a cure.

Oh, and did I mention that all their products are eco-friendly?

Collaborate, learn, and work hard, for you were born to be something extraordinary. Find a personalized charm for yourself or someone else, and share the special gift of friendship and the idea that you should embrace who you are. Life is meant to be lived how you want to live it, so why not wear your jewelry exactly how you want to? The concept of Alex and Ani shows you, and everyone around you, that you were born to be something extraordinary. So live it up!
