Recently, you may have noticed a lot of interesting headlines involving Selena Gomez. For example, a couple days ago her mother, Mandy Teefy, let the world know via Instagram that Selena had been advised against working with Woody Allen on his film A Rainy Day in New York, but had decided to go through with it anyways. Just weeks before, Selena’s mother had been hospitalized after a fight the two had over Selena’s relationship with her on-again-off-again beau, Justin Bieber. This was followed by Selena and her mother unfollowing each other on Instagram, only for Selena to change her profile picture to her mom weeks later. This, of course, was only after she’d gone on an unfollowing spree of over 300 people which included Demi Lovato and Gigi Hadid. Currently though, Selena has changed her profile picture back to one of herself, but she and her mom are still not following one another.
It doesn’t end there though. Back in the beginning of December, Selena had made her Instagram account private because of an article about her she didn’t seem to like. Even posting to her story over a portion of the piece with: “Never will I let another human being guess my words ever again. Or invite them in my home.” The odd part though is, that the part of the story she screenshotted is her talking about a giant teddy bear of hers. Of course, the internet is rife with rumours over it, with a prevailing theory that maybe it was Justin who gave her the bear and her saying she wanted to get rid of it would be seen as a slight against him. Unfortunately, Selena hasn’t commented on it.
So, what the heck is going on? It’s hard to say. Until Selena reveals what’s going on, we’ll just have to sit and wait on the sidelines to see if the former Disney star will make it out okay.
