Nickname: People sometimes call me Bridge or Bridgey but I hate them both. So, Bridget works just fine

Age: 18 (I’m turning 19 in April)

Hometown: Etobicoke

Siblings?

I have one younger sister named Veronica.

What year and program are you in?  

I am in my first year at York and I am majoring in dance.  

Job? 

I work for Parks and Recreation in Toronto as a dance teacher. I also work at a pharmacy as a pharmacist’s assistant and a customer service representative.  

What do you do for Her Campus and why did you join?

I am a writer for HCYU. I decided to join because I’ve always wanted to start my own blog and write about cool stuff.

What are your plans for when you graduate?

After graduation, I want to get my masters in dance and later join a dance company. I want to attend teachers college and work as a dance teacher at a university. I also would like to work part time for a media or advertising company producing shows.

What is your dream job?

My dream job is to become a company member at the Netherlands Dance Theater.   

Favourite activity to do with friends?

Going out for lunch or coffee at cute cafes.

What are your hobbies?

Buying plants, reading, watching Netflix and cooking.

Starbucks, Tim Hortons or Second Cup?

Definitely Starbucks but I love Tim Hortons donuts!   

Favourite sport?

When I was younger I was a competitive swimmer. I still love the sport although I prefer to swim leisurely.  

If you could leave on a trip today where would you go?

I would travel to London because I want a British accent or Scotland.   

What are you most passionate about?

Something I’m passionate about other than dance is media and advertising. I am currently producing a show at York for charity. I love my position as a media representative!

Favourite movie(s)?

My favourite movies are A Cinderella Story (I can literally recite the whole movie because I’ve watched it so many times), The Prince and Me, 10 Things I Hate About You, How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, all the James Bond movies and any superhero movie.

If you could be in any TV show, which would it be?

I would want to be in Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Friends.    

Favourite book?

I have a few. My top two are Jane Eyre and The Five People You Meet in Heaven. I also like Young Adult novels.

Favourite class you’ve taken at York?

I’m only in my first year so I haven’t taken a whole bunch of courses but I love my modern dance class.  

Go-to fashion or beauty item?

My favorite fashion/beauty item is a curling iron.

Celebrity crush?

My celebrity crush is Henry Cavil.

Favourite online (or paper) magazine?

The Dance Current is my favourite magazine because I can stay connected with the dance community.

Favourite thing to cook or bake?

I love baking cupcakes because they are my favorite desserts. I also love making smoothies because you get to mush so many things in one big drink! And pasta with cool sauces.
