A Poem for Mother Nature

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at YCP chapter.

You tricked us, Mother Nature

The weather is a mess

I can’t even tell what season we’re in

The people are confused

I know you’ve seen the news

Winter was nice

We played in the snow

Now we’re ready for the flowers to grow

How long do you think that will take?

Could you give us a specific date?

The girls are ready to show some leg

The boys are ready to bare their arms

Spring/Summer needs to get here quick

I know I’m not alone with this one

I ready to have some fun

In the warm sun

Please give us the weather we deserve

We’re in March already

You need to swerve,

‘Cause this weather isn’t for us

Nevermind, maybe I’ll just take a bus

Go down to a warmer climate

You can keep this weather, Mother Nature

This is for the birds

You probably won’t heed my words

Here’s to you, Mother Nature

I wanted to give you a feature

I’ll come back some other time

I hope you enjoyed this little rhyme!
