What activities are you involved with at Xavier?

Manresa Core, Delta Sigma Pi, Student Alumni Association, LEAD, Peer Review Board, and Dean Student Advisory Board.

What was your favorite part about Manresa Core?

Just working with my other Core members and OT, and watching something that you worked so hard on come together.

Why did you decide to do Manresa Core?

I had someone from the past Core come up to me and say “Bri, you should apply for core!” After reading about the positions on Core, I thought I could make a difference in Manresa, so I applied!

What movie best describes you?

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

What’s your favorite sport to play?

It’s a tie between soccer and lacrosse.

What’s one of your favorite memories from your time at Xavier?

Speaking to the freshman class at the Presidential Welcome at Manresa.

What’s something that most people don’t know about you?

I’m a third degree Black Belt. Also I am from Barbados; my dad owns a farm there! He has chickens, goats, and sheep.  I also used to work at Chuck E Cheese!

Any other hidden talents?

I can do a back bend walkover.

An outgoing turtle 

Lauren is a senior Marketing major, with minors in Economics and Gender & Diversity Studies at Xavier University. She calls Nashville, Tennessee home, and is the Campus Correspondent and President of HCXU. When she is not writing, she is planning events on the Student Activities Council, building her resume with her brothers in Delta Sigma Pi, or making random Spotify playlists. She is a Diet Coke enthusiast, and wishes she could spend every day hiking or playing with her dog.
