This week’s woman of Wesleyan is a winner from our Spring Break Giveaway: Dixie Shahan! Dixie won the Twitter giveaway for her response about her spring break plans! See what she has planned for next week below!

Year: Sophomore

Major: Pharmaceutical Science

Hometown: Fellowsville, WV

What was your favorite item you won from HC Giveaway on Twitter? Definitely the Erin Condren planner! I love planners and organization, so it was exciting to win that!

What are your Spring Break plans? I’m going to Daytona Beach with my best friends Emily and Leah! We’re driving all the way down there, which is about 13.5 hours, so it’ll be an interesting car ride to say the least.

Songs You’ll Jam to in the Car Ride to Daytona: I Spy, Body Like a Backroad, 24K Magic, pretty much anything that we could dance to in the car!

Have you ever been out of the country? Yeah! The only place I’ve been out of the states is the Cayman Islands.

What’s your dream vacation? My dream vacation would be to go on a cruise to the Cayman Islands. I’ve been there before but it was amazing! If you’ve never been on a cruise, then do it! It’s so worth it.

What’s your favorite vacation that you’ve ever been on? I really enjoyed the Cayman Islands, but I’ve been to Harry Potter World too! I went my senior year of high school over spring break, and it was so much fun! I absolutely love Harry Potter. Plus we went to the beach when we were there, which was awesome. We accidently got upgraded to staying in a penthouse when we were there without being charged extra for it. That made the trip even more special!

There you have it! Be sure to ask Dixie how her trip was once we get back to campus on the 13th! I’m sure she’ll have lots of fun stories to tell!

Just a small town girl living in an even smaller college town. I'm an Accounting major at WVWC in hopes of someday going to law school. I enjoy coffee, jumping in puddles, & petting the locals' dogs when they take them for walks on campus.
