Kate Babiuch ’18: Freshman Zumba Instructor

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVWC chapter.

Kate is a freshman psychology major with a minor in dance. Her dance minor has influenced her decision in becoming a Zumba instructor.  She is also involved in cheer and serves on the freshman counsel.

The reasons she became a Zumba instructor was swayed by her love for dance. Kate has been a dancer for most of her life and this job was also a way to guarantee that she would work out at least twice a week regardless of how busy she was with other activities or homework.  Zumba allows her to have a commonplace with others that she normally would not have been able to meet due to her chaotic schedule. She believes that Zumba has made her more approachable to the public.

One thing that makes her class unique is that Kate enjoys incorporating explanations on how to get the most out of the work out and methods that can “bump-up” the experience.  So, release some of your stress by exercising in a fun way and support this week’s campus celeb every Tuesday and Thursday at 7 pm in the Wellness Center!
