Kacy Shafer – Alpha Delta Pi Spring Sing Director

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVWC chapter.

“I feel that Spring Sing is so important beacause it shines a positive light on Greek Life and allows all of us to come together to showcase our talents,” says Kacy Shafer, Alpha Delta Pi Spring Sing Director. “What’s the saying? Indvidually Unique, Together Complete! Spring Sing allows each of us to come show what we do best, but also just have a lot of fun together.”

With just a week left before the big Spring Sing competition, Kacy and the other directors are getting their organization’s performance ready. This junior Elmentary Education major from Martinsburg, West Virginia knows just a little about putting on a show, with 15 years of dance and 3 years of show choir compeitions. Aside from her work as an Ambassador and in the National Society for Leadership and Success and Alpha Lamda Delta, she is helping her sisters get in top dancing and singing shape in the hopes of taking home the champion title.

“It takes lots of practices, that’s for sure!” says Kacy. “For the past few weeks we’ve been practicing almost every night, and I really just can’t wait for us to share this show with everyone.”

While she won’t give away too much about how ADPi is doing it up country, she says she thinks it will be a crowd favorite!

“I really feel that everyone can connect to our show in some way! It’s a very meaningful theme to all of us, all about home and togetherness.  We hope the audience loves the story as much as we do!”

Catch the show on April 18th at 7 p.m. in the Wesley Chapel!
