How to Survive the Last Few Weeks of School

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVWC chapter.

School is quickly coming to an end, and you may be freaking out and wishing that you had your life together. Between group projects, finals and figuring out your social life for the rest of the school year and summer, you’re probably feeling very unorganized. Here are a few tips to help you make it through these last few weeks.

Keep your planner organized. Make sure everything is written clearly and neatly. Use highlighters and/or colored pens to keep your classes and extracurricular activities separate and easily identifiable.

Separate your schoolwork from your social life. Make time to hang out with your friends or spend an evening in bed binge watching Greys. Yes, getting your work done and studying are important, but if you never take time out of your busy schedule to do something fun or relaxing, you’ll go crazy.

Clean your room. If you can’t declutter your life, at least declutter your room. Organization is key in keeping your sanity. If you are living in a clean environment, you’re bound to feel more at ease.

Make to-do lists. Checking items off your list is one of the most satisfying feelings. Make the tasks small and easy to accomplish. The more you check off, the more productive you will feel.

Try not to cry. But if you do, make sure you have lots of chocolate and good friends to cheer you up and tell you that everything is going to be okay.

Take a nap. Sleeping is proven to decrease stress. Short 20 minute naps are most effective. Cuddle up and relax, you’ll thank yourself later.

Have a dance party. If it helps Meredith and Christina, it will help you. Put on your favorite song and dance it out. Grab your friends or get your groove on by yourself; you’re sure to feel energized and ready to go.

Don’t be afraid to take some time for yourself. Take a deep breath, everything will be okay. Good luck with the rest of your semester, collegiette!
