With only a month left in the semester, the dreaded final projects begin to creep up on us. We all know them; whether it be the ten page papers, the research projects, the Power Points, or the dreaded group projects. Now one project on its own isn’t that bad, but when you have to juggle multiple projects at once, the whole process can get very overwhelming very fast. So, if you have multiple projects that demand your attention, here are a few tips to help you get everything in on time and still keep your sanity.

1. Write out your deadlines

While it may be more writing for you at first, it will only help you in the long run. Writing out your due dates can help keep you organized, can show you what projects are more time sensitive and the greater priority, and most importantly helps you see where your deadlines overlap.

2. Do NOT procrastinate.

Listen, I’m guilty of it myself, but if you have the time to work ahead, do it! Nothing is worse than attempting to complete big projects at the last minute! Not only is it stressful, but the quality of your work will suffer as well. So, plan out when you will work on your projects and keep yourself accountable. Wasting time on a Netflix movie now is not worth the stress it will cause you later. Trust me. I speak from experience.

3. Try to remain positive

Odds are, if you continually tell yourself that you will never get it done, you may convince yourself that you will never get it done. Don’t psyche yourself out. Try to be encouraging; not just to yourself, but also to your friends going through their own end of the year projects. In this early stage, the more positive you are, the better the quality of your work will be.

4. Learn when to say “No”

This one is the hardest for me, but when you have lots of homework and big projects to work on, you have to learn when to say no to extra activities. Now I realize that multiple things go on at the end of the year, such as banquets and parties, but you need to schedule in these activities and learn what is mandatory and what is not. Do not take on extra projects when you have plenty of projects waiting on you. You must prioritize your schoolwork. (That’s why you are at school!)

With these tips, you will not only complete your multiple projects, but the feeling of relief when they are over will be oh so sweet!

Stay Productive, Ladies!

I am adopted from Russia and was raised in West Virginia. I am a double major in English (Writing Concentration) and Musical Theatre. I love art in many different forms be it writing, singing, acting, drawing/painting, or design. I adore fashion and it has helped me become the person that I want to be in life. I am a very open person and love talking to people, so feel free to ask me anything! I am honored to be a part of the Her Campus team and I hope that my writing will bring you a smile. If I'm not in the theater or typing up my version of the great American fashion column, you can always hear me coming from the click of my heels. My advice to all: Stay classy!
My name is Gabriella Sayger, but everyone calls me Gabby! I am a sophomore majoring in English and still deciding on minors! I am destined for law school! I play golf, my favorite book is "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen, and I love Sushi! I'm hoping for an amazing year! Go Bobcats!
