HC Back-To-School Survival Kit!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVWC chapter.

Once again, the wonderful ladies at Her Campus Nationals has sent our chapter a wonderful batch of goodies. Every time we get one, I can’t help but brag on all the adorable and practical things they send. This semester, they sent us our Her Campus Fall Survival Kits to help ease the tough transition for summer lovin’ to semester woes.

In our Fall Survival Kits, we at Her Campus West Virginia Wesleyan College received the following products:

Financial Aid!`

Courtesy of Chipotle, they sent us dinner! Although we don’t have a Chipotle near by, this won’t stop us from taking a road trip to enjoy our BOGO burrito bowls and taco salads!

Mini Luna Bars

Luna Bars are a Her Campus favorite. We always get to try a variety of tasty flavors to keep our snack-etites at bay. This time, they sent us some delicious chocolate peppermint stick bars and chocolate coconut bars. Those chocolate peppermint stick bars remind me that Christmas Break (and more importantly, Christmas! is on the way).

Tanda Zap Acne Spot Treatment

Her Campus ladies have to look sharp! Whenever we have a presentation or a big date, the last thing we need to be worrying about is a breakout at that WORST MOMENT. Tanda Zap Acne Spot treatment will help when mid-semester and final stress comes down hard. At least we’ll look better than we feel, right?

Aeropostale: Aero Now

Aeropostale really showed up. They sent us a pile of $10 gift cards for their new Aero Now line! They also sent us Her Campus Pink Live, Love, Dream water bottles that say “Best Day Ever!” How’s that for positivity? Drink out of that, and even the worst day can have a smile!

Aero Now leads you to answer the question “Are you who you were a year ago?” Aeropostale most certainly is not who they were a year ago, and their line inspires discovering who you are in the here and now and dressing and living as the person you are.

Free “Clue” App

Have you ever been to the doctor and they ask you when your last period was? I get that a lot at the doctor, and I usually give the same answer… “Umm… a couple weeks ago?” As a young woman, this information is important in diagnosing special conditions that could be causing you to have problems being the best collegiette you can be. So if you go into an appointment and cannot tell the doctor when you last had your period, you could be limiting his ability to help you.

That is what “Clue” is for. Clue helps you keep track of your periods and let you know where you are in the terms of your monthly cycle. Every collegiette can benefit from this app (not just me!).

Fabulous Exfoliant Wax

European Wax Center gave Her Campus ladies $5 off coupons for their Fabulous Exfoliant Wax treatments.

Unfortunately we don’t have a European Wax Center around here (too bad, I could really use that coming into this weekend! I’m getting married!).

Garnier

Garnier always sends us some great products to try. This time around, they sent us Nourishing Cleaning Oil and Blackhead Eliminating Scrub. Garnier knows that now collegiette’s skin is alike, and that’s proved by the products they sent us.

Garnier Nourishing Cleaning Oil is a non-greasy formula for removing makeup and impurities. This formula contains jojoba and macadamia oils for those ladies with dry skin.

Garnier Blackhead Eliminating Scrub, in contrast, is for ladies with oily skin. This charcoal and salicylic acid-formulatted exfoliant gel works to remove blackheads, oil, and impurities from your face.

My Beauty Tea

Before our Fall Survival Kits, I had never heard of My Beauty Tea. My Beauty Tea is a naturally sugar free tea. Their products contain as little calories and carbohydrates as possible, and they use the most natural ingredients to make drinking healthy delicious!

Sweet Green

Sweet Green sent us gifts to get us into thinking of our true healthy, pure selves. They sent us green headbands and $5 off coupons for our next visit to Sweet Green. From what I hear, they have amazing salads. I would love to go to a Sweet Green! Anyone up for a road trip?

Soul Cycle

Not only are we going to have healthy-looking beautiful faces, and healthy eating all semester long, but Soul Cycle gave us a free class coupon so we can also be relaxed throughout the semester. On the most stressful days, a moment to just relax is exactly what you need so you don’t lose your mind! Try out Soul Cycle, either close to home or somewhere nearby.

Affinitas Cupcake Panties

Affinitas knows that sometimes we don’t always have time to plan for emergencies and spontaneous moments come up in a flash. For these moments, we have cupcake panties. Don’t judge it just yet. These cupcake panties are actually an adorable pair of lace-band undies, concealed modestly in a little box that looks like a cupcake. Definitely are these panties more functional than the “I don’t want to do my laundry” crisis of each week!

Once again, I want to take a moment to thank our great leading ladies at Her Campus Nationals for these survival kits they put together for us throughout the year. It’s so great to be able to write for such a great website, but then they send us great gifts because they have been in our shoes. They know college stress, and they give to us from what would help them… and in turn, what now helps us.

Thank you to to the organization partners of Her Campus who allowed Her Campus to give us all of these great products! We’ll spread the word!
