This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVWC chapter.

Jessy LaBella is a freshman biochemistry major at Wesleyan. She is currently a member of the Benzene Ring and the Student Art League.

For Jessy, fashion is all about finding the balance between cute and comfortable. She loves to use things, like accessories, to turn a simple outfit into something unique and adorable.

HC: What are some of your favorite things to wear?

JL: “I love my boots and my cardigans, especially my long drape cardigans. I love layering, so they are perfect!”

HC: What are some of your favorite accessories?

JL: “I love earrings and belts, but I really love my legwarmers and boot socks! They come in so many colors and they add a little fun to any boot. Besides, you can never have enough boots or belts!”

HC: Favorite stores?

JL: “I love Rue 21 because when they have sales, they really have sales! I also like Hot Topic and 29 and Under.”

HC: Do you gravitate toward certain colors in your wardrobe?

JL: “I like to wear a palate of red tones, from dark red to corals. I also like to wear black as a neutral because it can go with whatever I like.”

HC: Why is fashion important to you?

JL: “Fashion is expressive, it lets you show your personality. You have freedom in how you are seen.”

HC: What does your style say about you?

JL: “I am casual, but fun. I am laid-back, but excited! The best part is, I’m daring! I would say I owe that to my grandma and her eccentric style!”

HC: Any advice for our fashion lovers?

JL: “Express who you are!”

One thing is for sure; Jessy is an ambitious Bobcat with eye-catching style! So let’s follow Jessy and take to campus as comfortable, chic, driven young ladies.

Stay classy, Ladies!

I am adopted from Russia and was raised in West Virginia. I am a double major in English (Writing Concentration) and Musical Theatre. I love art in many different forms be it writing, singing, acting, drawing/painting, or design. I adore fashion and it has helped me become the person that I want to be in life. I am a very open person and love talking to people, so feel free to ask me anything! I am honored to be a part of the Her Campus team and I hope that my writing will bring you a smile. If I'm not in the theater or typing up my version of the great American fashion column, you can always hear me coming from the click of my heels. My advice to all: Stay classy!
