The Definitive Ranking of Thanksgiving Desserts

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVWC chapter.

Thanksgiving is so close; I can almost taste it—quite literally. It’s less than one week until Turkey Day which, of course means Thanksgiving desserts! This made me question, which desserts are best to squeeze in after your filling dinner? Here is my definitive order of what desserts you should be eating this Thanksgiving:

1. Pumpkin Pie

With lots and lots of whipped cream, because let’s face it—it’s a classic!

2. Pumpkin Rolls

Fall is all about pumpkin, so of course pumpkin rolls made it to number two on my list.

3. Apple Pie

Crisp, warm apple pie smothered in smooth vanilla ice cream? Yes, please!

4. Yulelog

For all the chocolate lovers, this Thanksgiving dessert is made for you. It’s basically the chocolate version of a pumpkin roll. How you could you not love that?

5. Cheesecake

Pumpkin cheesecake? As if we need another pumpkin flavored food out there. (But who can resist, really?)

6. Pecan Pie

Pecan pie is just another warm, cinnamon, fall classic. It’s the dessert that makes you think of sitting by the fire at Grandma’s house.

Good luck filling up with one of your favorite Thanksgiving desserts this year! (And kudos to you if you eat all six!)

Just a small town girl living in an even smaller college town. I'm an Accounting major at WVWC in hopes of someday going to law school. I enjoy coffee, jumping in puddles, & petting the locals' dogs when they take them for walks on campus.
