5 Female YouTubers Collegiettes Should Subscribe To

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVWC chapter.

I am an avid YouTube watcher (a fancy way for saying I spend way too much time online), and over the course of my watch time, I have found several amazing women who bring their passions to this platform. So, with the help of some great suggestions and my own subscriptions, here is a list of 5 awesome YouTubers that you should add to your subscriptions.

1. Zabrena

We can’t talk about female YouTubers without talking about makeup gurus! Zabrena’s channel includes a variety of different types of tutorials using everything ranging from high end brands to inexpensive drugstore products. Two popular series of videos on her channel are: Historically Accurate and Frugal Friday. In Historically Accurate videos, she takes you back in time to teach you historically accurate makeup looks. Frugal Friday (my personal favorite) is where she tests various drug store products so you can know what to buy on your next drugstore run. Her goofy sense of humor adds to her videos—making them a joy to watch whether you’re following the tutorial closely or simply watching on your down time.

2. Cambria Joy

Personally, I have been watching Cambria’s videos for a few months, and I am hooked! She has such a positive attitude about life, and her videos reflect that well. Videos on her main channel include everything from healthy recipes and fitness to daily routines. (Side note: All her food videos are gluten free, so it’s perfect for all you gluten free ladies out there!) One awesome thing she does on her channel is create videos made to encourage you and lift you up when necessary. Cambria’s channel is a terrific addition to your subscription box whether you need a healthy recipe or just a bit of encouragement.

3. Nerdy and Quirky

Sabrina (Nerdy and Quirky) is probably one of the more relatable YouTubers for college students. A Canadian university student, she understands the struggle that many of us are dealing with in college. She puts a funny twist on life and offers content with which so many of us can empathize. Out of the many YouTubers I watch, Sabrina is probably one of the most genuinely real women on the internet.

4. Kitty Kat Gaming

Despite what many may think, girls who play video games do exist! Kitty Kat Gaming is an awesome female, Game Grumps-affiliated channel run by Suzy Berhow. Primarily a Let’s Play channel, Kitty Kat Gaming is home to many different gameplays including Overwatch, Animal Crossing, and MSG3. So, if you’re looking for a new Let’s Play to watch, head over to KittyKatGaming and enjoy!

5. Biogilates

Blogilates is a fitness channel run by certified pilates instructor Cassey Ho. Her program, Pop Pilates, is a fun way to get a good workout without having to go to the Wellness Center or even leave your dorm. She offers different videos to work various parts of your body, and even she even has total body workout videos. Blogilates is not just boring at home workouts! Cassey’s videos are full of positivity and encouragement throughout the workout. They even have different themes to add to the fun (the latest being superheroes—which includes a Wonder Woman workout!). If you’re looking for a new workout program, or just a quick workout to do in your room, check her out!

There are so many amazing ladies who are killing the online game, and there is no doubt that you can find what you’re looking for on YouTube!

Until next time, HCXO!
