An Open Letter to my Friends Graduating in May

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVU chapter.

Thank you. You all became the older sister I always wanted and needed. From picking me up from work to showing me the best places around Morgantown, you all took me under your wings and helped me grow.

I used to be a wide-eyed sophomore that didn’t know how to handle the world of exams, internships or part-time jobs. Each of you not only shared your own personal experiences but you also inspired me to work hard and learn new techniques.

You all pushed me farther. I now have a wide range of experience and skills because each of you inspired me to grind harder and live fuller. You were not only professional role models but also showed me how to let go of the things that weren’t important and really enjoy life. You each reminded me to step back and remember that jobs come and go but this moment only happens once.

So, thank you for everything. I can’t wait to see what adventures we find ourselves on these next few months or where each of you end up after graduating. I know you will continue to inspire and support me no matter where you end up in the world. I’m sad that you’re leaving Morgantown but I know you’re going to kill it out there in the real world.
