9 Types Of People You’re Bound To See On Halloween

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVU chapter.

Halloween, the weekend long event where we can be anyone we want to be. Live the life of our favorite celebrity (Kim K watch out!), fulfill our childhood dreams as our favorite cartoon character and for some portray our favorite scary movie killer. While dressing up is fun seeing everyone else’s costumes is the best part of Halloween too. But of course the costume clichés are endless. So heads up, here are 9 types of people you’re bound to see this Halloween weekend!

1.     The cute matched couple

The couple costumes are endless; Mickey and Minnie, Barbie and Ken, and my favorite Hugh Hefner and his bunny. We get it; we get it you’re in love. I thought Valentine’s Day was the only I was supposed to be reminded I was single?

2.     The Girl Squad

While we’re not just impressed by your amazing costumes but also the amount of planning and coordination went down to plan for the night. I can’t even decide my outfit for a night out let alone match with 4 other people. Snaps to you for the dedication!

3.     DIY Costumes

Too much time on your hands or just bomb crafting skills? Regardless I’m sure every sorority girl could appreciate the effort.

4.     The Little Kid at Heart

While we’re all in college some of us just can’t let go of our childhood heroes. Remember, their age is just a number.

5.     Animal Ears Lover

They’re a mouse, duh. There’s little bit of Karen Smith in all of us. Taking a cute body con dress, adding some ears and voila their costumes are complete, right?

6.     The Celebrity Obsessed

They dream about being a celebrity 24/7 and this is the one night their obsession won’t come across as stalker-ish. Let’s just let them live out their 5 minutes of fame for just one night.

7.     The Last Minute Maker

Halloween is the same day every year but somehow they still seem to forget. Expect jerseys or pajamas for the night out. Those are costumes right?

8.     The Uncomfortable

Yes, their costume looks super cool but they’re secretly in so much pain. Maybe wearing a box wasn’t a good idea.

9.     The Horror Lovers

Lastly, you’re bound to see the true Halloween fans. The ones that go above and beyond to scare anyone that passes them by.

Hi, everyone! I'm Chastity, a senior at WVU majoring in Strategic Communications with an empahasis in  Advertising. I am a lover of writing and fashion, a reality show junkie, and a tad celebrity obssessed. I love finding new inspirations on Tumblr whether it be fashion or lifetsyle. Follow me on Twitter and Instagram!
I grew up in Charleston, West Virginia. Growing up here I knew there was a possibility of going to West Virginia University my entire life. Although I decided to start my college career at the University of Kentucky, those country roads led me back to WVU in the spring of my sophomore year. This was also the point when I decided to establish myself as a Broadcast Journalist student. Since this point I have strived to become the best possible journalist I can be. I am currently working as a weekend reporter for WDTV-Channel 5 in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Prior to receiving this position, I worked as an intern with WCHS-tv/FOX11, in the summer of 2014, where I learned critical editing, interviewing, writing, and speaking skills. I worked closely with anchors, reporters, editors, directors, producers, and even the web team. Aside from the television industry, I am the Campus Correspondent for the West Virginia University Chapter of the online entertainment magazine, Her Campus. Another position I currently hold is the Social Media Chair of WVU’s Radio Television Digital News Association Chapter. In the Fall of 2012, I became a sister of the Alpha Phi Fraternity, in which I held the position of ‘Big Sister Chairman.’ My other passions include horse back riding, scuba diving, being outdoors, and running. I am very adventurous and I try to stay well rounded. My goal in life is to live life to the fullest and be the best possible version of myself. My ultimate goal would be to earn a spot as a reporter/anchor for Fox News, New York. I plan to graduate in December of 2016 and look forward to my future.
