10 Reasons Why Fall Is Simply The Best

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVU chapter.

Really thought, why does everyone love summer? Yes, the weather is great and you get a great tan but what about fall? Fall is truly the Best Season Ever.  If you don’t think this is the case then there are 10 reasons why fall is in fact the best season.

1.  Because football, duh.  Football season is the best time of the year especially here at WVU. And what is better then being at a football game on a crisp fall day.

2.  It is acceptable to wear leggings EVERY SINGLE DAY and not be judged.

3. You can wear oversized anything and still look good Cardigans, crewnecks, sweaters, and hoodies.

4.   Pumpkin spice everything! When it comes to fall it is not complete until you have had at least one thing that is pumpkin flavored. But if you’re not into the pumpkin spice craze that’s all over coffee shops, there is always cinnamon, maple, almond, and caramel flavored goodies to satisfy that fall flavor need.

5.  Halloween is one of those holidays where it is perfectly fine to dress up and act like a kid.

6. Because Thanksgiving break is right around the corner and that means all the food you can eat. It also means spending time with your family who you love dearly even if they are a little crazy.

7. Because the leaves are the best part. The beautiful color they are when they begin to change and the crunching sound they make when you walk over them.

8.  I can’t forget boots. Boots are the staple to every girl’s outfit during the fall.  Putting those boots on with leggings just feels so good. Once those come out of the closet you know fall has arrived.

9.  The weather is absolutely PERFECT. You don’t have to worry about breaking into a sweat while walking to class. And lets admit it, that slightly chilly breeze where you can layer on another jacket is just great.

10. And last but not least, you are that much closer to winter break and the semester being over. What’s not to love about that?

I grew up in Charleston, West Virginia. Growing up here I knew there was a possibility of going to West Virginia University my entire life. Although I decided to start my college career at the University of Kentucky, those country roads led me back to WVU in the spring of my sophomore year. This was also the point when I decided to establish myself as a Broadcast Journalist student. Since this point I have strived to become the best possible journalist I can be. I am currently working as a weekend reporter for WDTV-Channel 5 in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Prior to receiving this position, I worked as an intern with WCHS-tv/FOX11, in the summer of 2014, where I learned critical editing, interviewing, writing, and speaking skills. I worked closely with anchors, reporters, editors, directors, producers, and even the web team. Aside from the television industry, I am the Campus Correspondent for the West Virginia University Chapter of the online entertainment magazine, Her Campus. Another position I currently hold is the Social Media Chair of WVU’s Radio Television Digital News Association Chapter. In the Fall of 2012, I became a sister of the Alpha Phi Fraternity, in which I held the position of ‘Big Sister Chairman.’ My other passions include horse back riding, scuba diving, being outdoors, and running. I am very adventurous and I try to stay well rounded. My goal in life is to live life to the fullest and be the best possible version of myself. My ultimate goal would be to earn a spot as a reporter/anchor for Fox News, New York. I plan to graduate in December of 2016 and look forward to my future.
