Meet this week’s campus celebrity future PR professional Jessica Reiner. On campus, she is very active in PR so you might find her in Hobart Hall assisting in SPRA meetings or in the Marketing and PR department. If not there then in the library studying. She’s very out going and loves to meet knew people, which makes her perfect for her future career plans.
HC: What made you choose WPU?
JR: I chose William Paterson because it was conivent to my house and because it has great programs and professors.
HC: What drew you to study PR?
JR: I picked PR to study becasue I enjoy interacting with people, planning events and writing.
HC: What has been your favorite class you have taken at WPU?
JR: My favorite class at William Paterson was Corporate Social Responsibility with Professor Lorra Brown. I found it interesting learning how, besides making a profit, companies can really make an impact on society.
HC: Have you interned before? If so, where?
JR: Yes, I am an intern at St. Josephs Wayne Hospital Foundation where some of my duties are writing press releases, helping with event planning and management.
HC: Where do you see yourself in five years?
JR: In five years, I would like to work in media relations and live in the city.
HC: What has been your biggest achievement thus far?
JR: Making the stride in finishing college.
HC: When you are not at school, what are some of your favorite activities?
JR: When I’m not at school, I like hanging out with family and friends, working out, hiking, trying new foods and resturants, traveling and reading.
