I, like many students, work and go to school which can be challenging sometimes. This is especially true while big events are taking place on campus, like homecoming. I work 25+ hours a week and, unfortunately, don’t get to go to homecoming. I don’t get to attend the tailgate or the events that take place during the weekend because I have to work. However, this doesn’t stop my spirit or who I am as a student! I just find other ways to show spirit and support.
I want to show school spirit and it’s pretty easy. I do small things like wearing school apparel during homecoming week. I do my makeup with our school colors. Now, I’m not saying I walk around with orange and black makeup, but I’ll add hints of orange or black to my looks. It’s small things that matter!
I go to events on campus during homecoming week because it’s the closest I can get to actually attending homecoming! It truly is the best event held during the year, in my opinion.
Lastly, I always make sure to show support to all the teams that play during homecoming weekend, in some way!
