After my first year of college, I can definitely say I have learned a lot about frat parties. They can be fun, but you have to be careful.

1. Go with people you trust

I highly suggest bringing good friends that you know would never ditch you. Believe me, I’ve seen it happen. Stick with your group and keep each other in your line of vision.

2. Be prepared for crowds

Prepare for heat because fraternity basements are always sweltering. Bring deodorant if you can. You should also know that you will have to push through people to get to the keg.

3. Never leave your drink unattended

PLEASE keep your drink in your hand at all times and DO NOT let a random guy hand you a drink. Unfortunately, there are guys out there who drug girls.

4. Boys can be gross

I am not saying all men are disgusting, but you will most likely encounter a guy who wants to hook up with you. I strongly advise against leaving a frat house with a random guy, no matter how cute he is.

5. Always go to the bathroom with a friend

Not only is this a good buddy system, but it makes for funny memories and cute selfies in the mirror!
