Midterms Week According to Michael Scott

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WM chapter.

Every year it seems that midterms week won’t be that bad. Until you receive your syllabi and see that all of your professors have managed to schedule seven exams and three papers for the same four-day span. In times like these, only Michael Scott can tell it like it is.

1. First, you look in your planner and see everything that you have to do.

2. And you scold yourself for not getting started sooner.

3. And finally, after some more procrastination….

4. You finally channel your inner #girlboss and get to work.

5. You start to write all of those papers, even if you aren’t entirely sure what you’re doing (What exactly *is* the difference between MLA and Chicago style?)

6. And after finishing the papers, you start to study for those exams. Until you realize that none of your notes make sense.

7. So, you go to your professor’s office hours. And even though you really need some help, you still want them to think you’re smart.

8. But after they answer your question, you realize you’re going to need some more help.

9. And after all those office hours visits and all of that time spent studying, you hit a wall.

10. But you’re so close to being rid of midterms, so you buckle down. And on the morning of your exam, you follow your exact routine–nothing bad is going to happen!

11. And after a week filled with stress and anxiety, you can finally celebrate!

Good luck on midterms…may the odds be ever in your favor!
