Timeflash: Your Future in a Capsule

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

Do you collegiates ever dream of being the next Mark Zuckerberg? How about the next Steve Jobs? Have you ever wanted to create a super cool app? Well, look no further because Jared Kash, creator of a new app called Timeflash is currently living both dreams.

Timeflash is a “digital time capsule app” that lets you take and share pictures. However, unlike familiar apps like Instagram and Snapchat, Timeflash is time-based.

“You choose when the content gets shared, cutting through the noise and clutter on most social media platforms. Timeflash makes it easy to pick who gets to see each piece of content,” Kash said.

Do you want to send a picture to your mom on her next birthday? Well, with Timeflash, you can send time capsules to her with the specific time, day, and year you want it to be released.

Kash, student at the University of Florida, Gainesville, and his team are marketing the app through university promoters. Promoters at selected schools are responsible for getting the word out to their student body.

Gabby Raines, a sophomore at UW-Madison has been given the job of spreading the word about Timeflash to members of the UW campus! Lucky us!!

“My job is to promote the app at school events, hand out cozies for cups, t-shirts, stickers, and re-tweet their content, and create my own content as well,” Gabby said. “I want to get the word out so people can see what an amazing innovation this app is and to download it. It’s the next big thing.”

Another difference between Timeflash and other photo-taking apps is the users ability to delete pictures after sending them, Gabby said. The user has complete control over what and when the picture will be sent.

“We built Timeflash for the mobile-centric college students to help them capture and share important moments in their daily lives,” Kash said. “They will use the app to build excitement for on-campus events, to share spring break memories, and wish friends Happy Birthday right at midnight.”

The app is launching its first version this Friday Feb. 14th and is free on iTunes!

I don’t know about you, but I think that’s the best Valentine’s Day gift ever! Timeflash is going to take college campuses by storm and we’re lucky enough to be the first to hear about it.

So collegiates, what are you going to flash first?
