Struggles of Winter That All Girls Can Relate to

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

Winter is finally here, which means oversized sweaters, holiday drinks from Starbucks, the arrival of winter break, and glistening snow.  Although some of us enjoy the winter season more than others, we’ve compiled a list of cold weather struggles that all girls can relate to.

  1. When you’re trying to look cute, but you have to wear 10 layers or else you’ll freeze.

Of course I’m wearing more than one sweater, it’s a new layering trend.

  1. The way you run to the bar when you don’t wear a winter jacket.

COLD, COLD, COLD.

  1. Checking the weather on your phone in the morning and spending 10 minutes debating whether or not it’s really worth it to leave your bed.

Ughhh, do I really have to be productive today?

  1. When you don’t have the time to dry your hair all the way, and it freezes on the way to class.

Let’s be real, this has happened to all of us at some point.

  1. When you want to look stylish in your winter jacket but end up looking like a marshmallow.

I guess I’d rather look puffy than have frostbite.

  1. When it’s two weeks into December, and you decide to forgo fashion until spring.

Big sweatshirts all day, every day.

  1. Walking excessively slowly to class so that you won’t be the one who slips on the ice.

Literally our worst fear.

  1. When your friends plan a Secret Santa gift exchange, but you’re poor AF.

Can we set the price limit to a dollar?

Each season brings a new set of struggles along with it, and we’d be willing to bet that winter struggles are some of the most inconvenient.  Warm wishes from HC Wisco!
