Easy Summer Looks

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

Pinterest is the thorn in many of our sides. We see cute outfits and if by some magic we discover whatever is in the picture, the price is normally enough to scare us off. So here are two awesome summer knock off looks from Pinterest. The first is a great example of mixing prints without looking like a clown.

This look is a pretty easy one to find in stores. Polka dots and crochet shorts are big right now: I found the top at F21,the shorts at Charlotte Russe, and the sweater from ON. For just the clothes this look is around $60, but my guess is most people have a long open sweater they could find in their closet, so for just the top and shorts (which would be perfect for a hot summer day) it’s only $37.

This is a classy, yet trendy look. It would be great for any time you need to look semi-dressy over the summer. I think orange can be a hard color to wear with a lot of skin tones, so I picked this green chiffon shirt from Garage instead, since it’s such a light material you can roll up the sleeves without adding too much bulk or heat.  Because you went for a green shirt, use an orange necklace for the contrasting effect. Finally I found a skirt very similar to the one in the picture at F21 for only $20.
