Best Holiday Music for the Upcoming Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

If you claim you don’t LOVE Christmas music, you’re lying. As soon as Halloween is over and November rolls around, you can expect to hear holiday tunes blaring from earbuds and the halls to be decked out. It’s absolutely never too early to get into the Christmas spirit. One of the best ways to get those chestnuts roasting is by turning up the music that never fails to lift your spirits. Here are the best tunes to jam out to this holiday season.

1. “The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas to You)” by Bing Crosby

An oldie, but a goodie. This one is my personal favorite. The lyrics explain all the amazing parts of Christmas. Who could ask for more?2. “All I Want for Christmas is You” by Mariah Carrey

Yet another classic. Although it was only released in 1994, this cult favorite has definitely made it on my classic Christmas playlist.3. “Feliz Navidad” by Jose Feliciano

I’m not going to lie, I can only listen to this one a few times over the season, yet it’s one you can’t forget about. Prospero año y felicidad!

4. “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” by Brenda Lee

Fun fact: Brenda Lee was only 13 years old when she recorded this Christmas favorite. Can you say early success?5. “Mistletoe” by Justin Bieber

Don’t judge me. Another fairly new song, yet it’s so catchy and the music video really puts me in the spirit.6. “Blue Christmas” by Elvis

No one does Christmas music better than the King of Rock n’ Roll. This is just one of his amazing yuletide melodies. This list could go on and on. There is no discrimination when it comes to Christmas music. However, these are some of my favorite tunes for the greatest time of the year. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
