Yes, we get free drinks and, yes, we usually don’t have to be the ones to initiate conversation, but is it really all that it’s cracked up to be? Let’s be honest, though: guys have it harder.
1. Running late and still having to look presentable is hard.
A little bit of water to fix the bedhead and throwing on the shirt you worn yesterday takes way too long.
2. Dating is difficult.
The guy is supposed to text the girl first, right? Typing H-E-Y is much more work than it’s worth.
3. Your family doesn’t care about your love life.
You mean your family doesn’t nag you about finding someone to take care of you and settle down with? They must not care.
4. Making money is hard.
The wage gap? That can’t exist. There’s no way you make more money on average.
5. Buying girls drinks is a waste of time.
So you bought a girl a drink and the only thing she did to repay you was say, “Thank you?” Never doing that again.
At the end of the day, we might all have it a little rough. But boys, remember that being a girl isn’t always a walk in the roses.
