Let’s admit it; we get bored of seeing the same ‘ole people on screen over and over again. Sometimes, all we need is a few fresh faces to spice things up a notch. To all the film lovers and Hollywood maniacs out there, here are some of our favorite young talents.

1. Timothée Chalamet

Birthday: December 27, 1995

Age: 22

Best known for his leading role in Luca Guadagnino’s queer romance film Call Me by Your Name, Chalamet started his acting career at the age of 13. This born-and-raised New Yorker (who is also fluent in French!) has received multiple award nominations. Golden Globe Awards, the Academy Awards — you name it, he’s got it. Keep an eye on his future appearance on the drama Beautiful Boy and on Woody Allen’s next movie.

2. Sasha Lane

Birthday: September 29, 1995

Age: 22

You may have seen her on Chloe Moretz’s Instagram a lot, but you might not know that she’s now one of the most sought-after indie actresses. Besides the independent drama The Miseducation of Cameron Post in which both Moretz and Lane star, Lane is also known as the rebellious star in American Honey and the queer artist in Hearts Beat Loud.

3. Lucas Hedges

Birthday: December 12, 1996

Age: 21

Hedges received his first Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination in 2016 for his performance in drama Manchester by The Sea; he was still attending the School of the Arts at the University of North Carolina then. His role in Wes Anderson’s dramedy Moonlight Kingdom aside, Hedges made his career breakthrough in two of Oscars’ 2018 nominated films, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing and Missouri and Lady Bird.

4. Daniel Kaluuya

Birthday: February 24, 1989

Age: 29

You may recognize Kaluuya’s crying face from promotions of Jordan Peele’s Oscars-nominated horror film Get Out, in which Kaluuya is the lead actor. According to Kaluuya, people would walk up and hug him after watching the movie. Black Mirror fans may also recognize him from “Fifteen Million Merits,” the episode from which Jordan Peele discovered Kaluuya. This native Londoner has received 28 awards nominations — 10 of which he won — from platforms such as the Academy Awards, British Academy Film Awards and Golden Globe Awards.

5. Millie Bobby Brown

Birthday: February 19, 2004

Age: 14

To round out this list, we have your favorite Stranger Things star — Eleven. After Stranger Things premiered on Netflix, this British teen has been garnering critical acclaim and award buzz for her performance in the show. She’s also a mighty feminist who advocates girl power on social media and in society. Brown has become one of the most in-demand young talents in Hollywood, and she’s about to take a career leap onto the big screen.

We just handed you a list of millennials who are making it big this year — it’d be your loss to not check them out.
