10 Things I’m Going to Do When Finals are Over

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

It’s the time of the year when all I can think about is school being over. I worked my butt off writing papers and studying for final exams—I’m so ready to be free from stress! Whether you are moving back home for a few months or are staying in Madison, you will finally be able to have some fun (maybe). You can bet your booty that I will be doing all of these things (which, by the way, require no brain work) when finals are over.

1)   Celebrate, duh. Already have the outfit picked out.

2)   Throw all my notebooks and papers from this semester into a bonfire. Who needs last years’ lecture notes anyway?

3)   Figure out my job for the summer. Yes, this is actually sad. I’m going home in a week but I still don’t know what I’m doing!

4)   Unpack my ridiculous amount of clothes. I didn’t even wear half of them.

5)   Work off all the calories I consumed during the past two weeks… or past two months. Yes, this is true and I am extremely ashamed of it.

6)   Binge watch Netflix and/or catch up on all the TV I missed. There are so many new shows being added this month! This is going to kill so much time spent in boredom.

7)   Find new music to get me bumpin’ through summer. Nothing better than when the squad can hang to some new jams.

8)   Get my nails done – I’ve never seen my nails so disgusting BC finals… *Cuticles sprouting up in every direction*

9)    Lie outside in the sun and not feel bad about not studying. Thank goodness, no more guilt about being lazy.

Congratulations on finishing the semester! You worked hard these last few weeks—now get home, do some fun things and be stress-free for a few months!
