It’s almost guaranteed that in any small town there’s going to be a small coffee shop.

Irmo, South Carolina, a town that is right outside of Columbia. Now Irmo isn’t super small, but it is definitely not big. In Irmo, there’s a coffee shop called Loveland Coffee, and I’m absolutely addicted to it.

Loveland is a small coffee stand in the parking lot of a shopping center that is only a drive through. Besides the amazing coffee, the people who work there are just the most genuinely kind and loving people you could ever meet.

They always take your order with a smile and talk about how your day is going and how there is going all while making you an amazing cup of coffee. Even if there’s a bit of a line behind you, the employees at Loveland Coffee will always make sure that you leave happy with your order and the customer service.

Another great thing about Loveland is that they sell bags of their coffee, containers of cold brew coffee for you to make at home, and stickers, shirts, and hats! So then you can rep the best coffee ever wherever you go! (I personally have two stickers, a tank top, and a t-shirt)

Loveland not only holds  a special place in my heart due to it’s amazing coffee, but also because of the significance that it has played in a lot of my relationships. Through a mutual love of Loveland Coffee, I met my best friend Halley.

She and I had known each other for a bit, but what really set our friendship into motion was a shared obsession with this small coffee stand. We’d see each other at the windows of Loveland, introduce the other to our favorite drink, and even buy each other drinks when we’d go in the mornings before school. We became so close all because of coffee.

Loveland coffee is just an overall amazing company. With freshly roasted coffee beans every week, a lovable staff, and a fantastic list of coffee concoctions, it will always stand as my favorite coffee shop ever.

So if you ever find yourself in Columbia South Carolina, make the short drive to Irmo to visit this little slice of heaven, you’ll thank yourself for doing so as soon as you take that first sip.
